Speaker: Kris Dechka

Kris graduated in Electrical Engineering from the UofS in 1998 and started with Vecima Networks at their wireless research facility in Victoria BC. At this facility, he mainly worked on millimetre wave frequency passive and active components as well as developing radios conforming to the Wimax specification. He transferred to Vecima’s Saskatoon RnD department in 2008 and began to work in the development of transmitters designed to work as part of the DOCSIS (Data over Cable Service Interface Specification) CMTS (Cable Modem Termination System). After moving back to Saskatoon he started working on his MSc in Electrical Engineering researching ways of cancelling the spurious emissions of radio frequency digital to analog converters. He is currently the Supervisor of FPGA Development at Vecima and actively working on our development of our Entra line of products designed to operate as remote physical layer and remote media access control / remote physical layer devices.
