Speaker: Lindsay Sweet

Lindsay Sweet

Illumination 2016 is excited to announce that Lindsay Sweet will be speaking at this year’s conference!

Lindsay graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a B.Sc. in Computer Science in 2013 and with a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering in 2014. While attending the U of S he was active member of the IEEE as a Class Representative and as the Academic Director during his last two years of study.

Lindsay had the opportunity to work in a variety of sectors throughout his university years including energy, telecommunications, and agriculture. He worked with SaskPower, SaskTel, and Case New Holland and during that time transitioned from technical support jobs to finishing as a research Engineer.

Upon completion of his Engineering degree Lindsay returned to his family farm where he has found his experiences in the College of Engineering to be instrumental in his new career. Regardless of this unconventional career path post-grad, Lindsay maintains that if he were to do it all again he would still choose electrical engineering.
